Texas State faculty and staff were recently reminded of their restricted role in political activities on campus.
“There are state laws and university policy that prohibits using state property for political purposes or to influence an election” said University Attorney William Fly in the Oct. 16 issue of The University Star. Chris Jones and Lisa Coppoletta, who are running against each other for the Place 4 seat on the City Council, said they have managed to keep their campaigns separate from their duties on campus though there are events going on throughout the workday.To read the rest of the story please visit this link:
