The ordinance regarding animal control is up for a second reading. Lots of discussion and some of our City Council members have been awesome regarding dialogue.Newstreamz has invited me to write an opinion piece and I am so honored by their request. The ordinance was debated quite extensively the last reading and the Council requested that they clean up the language regarding notions of community education and vagueness regarding discretion for animal control officers. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s meeting.
