I just got my mac 8 core Lakshmi this summer and have just now had the opportunity to play with the video software loaded on the system. Soon we will have Final Cut Pro but I think the functionality of this software is just awesome.
In Vegas master clips digitized would have to be re-edited if the footage captured was to lengthy. In the mac software iMovie one can actually delete unwanted source footage sections within the interface thereby saving hard drive space and ram for when opening the application. For rough cuts and storyboards this is the software for on the fly editing.
The music in this rough cut story-boarding clip is from my favorite Austin band The Black Angels. The footage is from randomly assigned tapes "1" and "2" and "3" and "4".
